Sanghyeon Village
Located in Seon-dong area, Sanghyeon Village is a natural village with a walking path surrounding Hoedong Reservoir and Sanghyeon Village and attracts many tourists with its magnificent landscape and local restaurants. It is also the starting point of Galmaetgil Trail’s Course 8.
- Directions : Take the village bus No. Geumjeong-gu 3-1. → Get off at Sanghyeon Village.
Oryundae Observatory
Oryundae is said to have been the place where five old men stuck their walking sticks in the ground and played. Oryundae Observatory boasts a magnificent open view that harmonizes well with Hoedongho Lake and the mountains. From the deck, visitors can also enjoy the towering mountain peaks and cliffs reflected onto the lake.
Ttangmoesan Red Clay Forest Trail
Located in Oryunbon-dong, Ttangmoesan is a small hill made up of a red clay path, an earthen path, and a Japanese cypress forest. Connected to the lake and observatory, this red clay forest trail allows visitors to enjoy walking barefoot along the path and inhaling phytoncide from the Japanese cypress forest.
Ttangmoesan Waterside Deck
Connected to Ttangmoesan Red Clay Forest Trail, Ttangmoesan Waterside Deck offers a shelter amid the surrounding mountains and water.
Dongdaegyo Bridge (Hoedong-dong)
Connecting Hoedong-dong and Dongdae, Dongdaegyo Bridge is known for its splendid neighboring landscape and waters, which flow from Hoedongho Lake to Geumsa-dong.
