Features
The coloration of its mantle, belly, and flank is predominantly white with the black color from its head along its back. It is harmful to fruit but useful for forest farming because it catches harmful insects.
Reason for designation
In the Orient, it is considered a lucky sign when this bird comes close and sings. In Geumjeong as the gateway of Busan’s ground traffic, the Magpie symbolizes “bright and future-oriented” Geumjeong people who greet visitors.
