Reason for designation
Covering most of mountains that take up 66% of the entire territory, pine trees are deeply related to our lives. The state of always being green all year round represents constancy as well as a spirit of never succumbing to any hardships. Thus, it symbolizes the indomitable nature of Geumjeong people.
